San Francisco, CA. MMCA Group Ltd. and Hewlett-Packard Co. have settled the breach of contract and trade secret misappropriation lawsuit (MMCA Group, Ltd. v Hewlett-Packard Co. et al.). MMCA was represented by Geonetta & Frucht LLP and Nixon Peabody LLP.
The case was scheduled for a jury trial on MMCA’s misappropriation of trade secrets claim relating to the MMCA system for the investigation of counterfeit products and the trade secrets relating to the proprietary MMCA system including MMCA’s worldwide network of investigators. In an earlier ruling, HP was unsuccessful in moving for summary judgment on the trade secret claim, the court finding that there were triable issues of fact for the jury to decide.
