Albany, NY. International law firm Nixon Peabody LLP today announces that Ruth E. Leistensnider has been named to the New York Solar Energy Industries Association’s Board of Directors. Miss Leistensnider, a resident in the firm’s Albany office, is a partner in the energy and environmental practice.
Effective immediately, Miss Leistensnider will serve a three year-term and will assist the association in its mission to educate relevant stakeholders about the benefits of solar energy and expand the development and use of solar power in New York.
Miss Leistensnider has more than 20 years of experience and focuses her practice in various aspects of energy and environmental law including the siting and permitting of energy installations and other infrastructure projects throughout New York, with a focus on renewable generation issues. She is a member of the Alliance for Clean Energy New York and the Independent Power Producers of New York.
