Experience

Harry Trueheart is the firm’s chairman. He is principally involved in business, commercial, technical, and construction-related litigation in federal and state courts in various jurisdictions, and national and international arbitration. He represents major manufacturing and service companies. He also serves regularly in the role of arbitrator and mediator.

Mr. Trueheart has litigated matters involving the federal securities laws and antitrust laws as well as state corporate laws. He has also handled litigation arising out of patent licensing agreements, unfair competition and trade secret claims, government contract claims, construction contract claims, and a variety of breach of contract claims involving complex technical and accounting issues and health care issues.

Within the last several years, Mr. Trueheart has handled, among other matters, major International Chamber of Commerce and American Arbitration Association arbitrations involving international construction.

Mr. Trueheart is a member of the New York State Bar Association (past chair of the Commercial and Federal Litigation Section; past member of the Association’s House of Delegates). He is a member of the International Bar Association and the Litigation, Antitrust and Business Law Sections of the American Bar Association. He is active in the CPR Institute for Dispute Resolution, a national alternative dispute resolution organization (panel member and Ethics Commission Working Group on ADR and Law Practice). He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a fellow of the College of Law Practice Management. He is an arbitrator and mediator for the American Arbitration Association, and a fellow of the College of Commercial Arbitrators.
