Regina S. Rockefeller is a partner in Nixon Peabody's Health Services Group. Her law practice focuses on the representation of health care providers, charitable and for-profit organizations in the health care and educational fields. Ms. Rockefeller represents and advises hospitals, physicians, captive insurers, faculty medical practice plans, continuing care retirement communities and other health care providers.

She is a frequent lecturer on Patient Safety Organizations, EMTALA, the right to die, HIPAA, fraud and abuse, Stark, health system governance, physician integration and mergers and acquisitions,fiduciary and other regulatory compliance issues affecting institutional and individual health care providers and their insurers.

Inclusion in Best Lawyers is based on a peer-review survey. Ms. Rockefeller was selected in 2008 for inclusion in Boston Magazine’s Super Lawyer & Rising Star Section as one of the “Top Fifty Female Massachusetts Super Lawyers”. In addition, Ms. Rockefeller was selected in 2006 by her peers for inclusion in Boston Magazine’s Super Lawyers (copyright 2006 Key Professional Media, Inc.), and was named as one of the “Top Fifty Female Massachusetts Super Lawyers”. Ms. Rockefeller is a frequent speaker to health care industry organizations, including the American Health Lawyers Association, the Massachusetts Hospital Association, the Massachusetts Medical Society, the New England Healthcare Assembly, the Health Law Section of the American Bar Association and hospitals and their medical staffs. 
 
She has published numerous health law articles on topics of importance to health care providers. She chaired the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education Annual Health Law Update, from 1990 to 1998 and its Health Law Basics program in 2001. In 1997, Ms. Rockefeller served on the Massachusetts Medical Society Task Force on Hospital Conversions and Mergers.
 
Ms. Rockefeller is the former Treasurer of the Boston Bar Association and a former chair of the Massachusetts Bar Association and Boston Bar Association Health Law sections. Ms. Rockefeller is a member of the Editorial Board of the Boston Bar Journal
 
Ms. Rockefeller has served as a trustee and clerk of a community hospital, Chairman of the Board of Directors of a Medicare certified hospice and serves as a member of a hospital Patient Care Assessment Committee. 
 
In 1998, Tufts University honored Ms. Rockefeller by selecting her as Alumni Commencement Marshall. While attending Boston College Law School Ms. Rockefeller was a member of the Industrial and Commercial Law Review.
