ExperienceAndrea Anderson is a Conflicts Attorney with the firm’s New Business & Conflict Services team. In this role, she conducts due diligence screening of new business intake and potential firm growth opportunities. She also advises the firm’s attorneys on issues relating to ethical and business conflicts of interest, including appropriate use of engagement letters and other documentation reflecting the understanding between client and attorney. Before joining the New Business & Conflict Services team, Ms. Anderson spent several years as an associate in Nixon Peabody’s Business and Finance Department. She concentrated her practice in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, contract law, and general corporate matters for both closely held and public companies. In addition, Ms. Anderson has served as bond counsel, underwriter counsel and transaction counsel in a variety of bond and straight-lease financings and has counseled clients on a range of state and local tax issues. Ms. Anderson worked as a Legal Intern at Nixon Peabody’s Buffalo office during the fall of 2001 and spring of 2002. She was a Summer Associate at the firm’s Rochester office in 2001. Prior to joining Nixon Peabody, Ms. Anderson worked as a Legal Intern for the West Group in Rochester, which is a publisher of legal texts. Before attending law school, she was a Licensed Assistant Real Estate Appraiser for Rynne, Murphy & Associates in Rochester. AdmissionsMs. Anderson is admitted to practice in New York State.
