Practice AreasBankruptcy & Financial RestructuringCreditors Committees Debtors Distressed Business & Asset Sales ExperienceAs a member of the firm’s Financial Restructuring & Bankruptcy practice, Mr. Harrington’s practice is concentrated primarily on bankruptcy, reorganization, and commercial lending. He has represented debtors, trustees, secured lenders, creditors committees and unsecured creditors in negotiated workouts, assignments for the benefit of creditors, commercial litigation matters, and all aspects of Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 cases in courts across the country. Mr. Harrington also practices in the firm’s Sports and Entertainment practice representing musicians, bands, song writers, record producers, comedians, management companies, authors, screen writers, film makers, studio executives, and other members of the entertainment industry in a wide variety of matters. Recently, Mr. Harrington lectured on issues affecting directors and officers of companies in the "zone of insolvency" for the Boston Bar Associations Commercial Law Section. He has also lectured on creditors' rights in bankruptcy, with a particular focus on reclamation rights, stay relief and avoidance litigation for the Massachusetts Bar Association Continuing Legal Education Program.AdmissionsMr. Harrington is admitted to practice in Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, and Delaware, as well as the United States district courts for the districts of Massachusetts, Southern New York, Eastern Pennsylvania, and Delaware. Mr. Harrington also serves as Co-Chairman of the Boston Bar Associations Law and Policy Committee of the BBA's Bankruptcy Law Section. As Co-Chair, Mr. Harrington has taken an active role in the BBA's efforts to modernize the Massachusetts' homestead and personal property exemption statutes and has testified before the Joint Committee on the Judiciary on behalf of the BBA's membership. |
