ExperienceSarah Boehs concentrates her practice in real estate law, and has represented owners, investors, and developers of commercial real estate projects, including affordable housing and office building. She has also represented lessors and lessees of office property. In her practice she drafts and negotiates sale and acquisition documents, lease documents, loan documents, and condomunium documents, resolves title and survey issues, and attains zoning approvals. Ms. Boehs has been named a Massachusetts “Rising Star” by Law & Politics Media, Inc. (2005-2010). Massachusetts “Rising Stars” is published annually in the Massachusetts Super Lawyers Rising Stars Edition and Boston magazine. Ms. Boehs is the coauthor of “Risky Business: The Enforceability and Use of Negotiated Risk Agreements,” published in the Seniors Housing and Care Journal by John Hopkins University. The article was awarded first prize in the Journal’s annual competition. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Boehs was a law clerk at Jackson, O’Keefe & Phelan and at Travelers Bond, each in Hartford, Connecticut. Ms. Boehs was also a summer intern for the Honorable Dominic J. Squatrito, U.S. District Judge, in the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut. While in law school, Ms. Boehs was an associate editor of the Connecticut Law Review and a member of the Moot Court Board. Ms. Boehs is interested in international issues, having studied comparative law and economics at the University of Leiden in the Netherlands during law school, and Russian language and culture at Yaroslavl State University in Russia during college. Ms. Boehs is also a member of the Women’s Bar Association of Massachusetts. In the community, Ms. Boehs serves on the local advisory board of the Boys & Girls Club in the Roxbury neighborhood of Boston. |
