Nixon Peabody Chicago |
There are a multitude of factors involved in attaining Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design® (LEED) Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. Our new Chicago location was designed to meet LEED specifications and incorporates materials that contribute to achieving the certification requirements, including high recycled content for carpet and ceiling tiles, zero volatile organic compound (VOC) paints, rapidly renewable linoleum flooring, and sustainable bamboo paneling. Most of the furniture used in our new Chicago office is Greenguard®-certified, and many of the fabrics contain recycled content. The workstations and conference tables are made of formaldehyde-free, FSC-certified wood products. Our new office also features environmentally friendly design elements that will help us reduce water and energy consumption.
