David Kavanaugh is a tax partner at Nixon Peabody who focuses his practice on tax advantaged financing for affordable housing, economic development, historic rehabilitation and renewable energy. He has structured, negotiated and closed transactions and projects nationally which utilized the Low Income Housing Tax Credit, the New Markets Tax Credit, the Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credit and Renewable Energy Tax Credits. He has also structured many transactions and projects utilizing state tax credits. David is tax counsel to numerous nationwide investment funds utilizing state and federal tax credits for historic rehabilitation, economic development, affordable housing and renewable energy.
