Christopher P. Keefe is the leader of Nixon Peabody’s Business & Finance department, a partner in the Corporate practice group and a member of the firm’s M&A and Private Equity teams. In addition, Chris is a member of the Life Sciences and Food, Beverage & Consumer practices. He represents privately held companies and funds in financings, corporate counseling and mergers and acquisitions.Chris is a member of the firm’s Management Committee, which works with firm leaders to execute the strategic plan and oversee day-to-day operations.
For over twenty years, I have represented companies of all stages in the technology, consumer, life sciences and manufacturing verticals, as well as the venture and private equity funds that invest in them. I also represent buyers and sellers in middle-market mergers and acquisitions, as well as sophisticated clients in corporate transactions and strategic relationships. I enjoy a trusted advisor relationship with leading management teams and investors.
While 2020 saw a very strong but disrupted M&A market due to the COVID-19 pandemic, demand at the end of the year was unprecedented and that continues to carry over into 2021. Inflation and tax policy may temper this level of activity as the year progresses, but I do not anticipate the fundamental strength of the market to be materially impacted.
