GigOptix, Inc., a high-speed analog semiconductor manufacturer specializing in electronic engines for the optically connected digital world, recently acquired ChipX, Incorporated, a Santa Clara, CA–based supplier of analog and mixed signal custom application specific integrated circuits (ASICs), customized for a particular use rather than general-purpose use. Through our partnership with the firm, GigOptix has been able to complete complicated transactions such as this one and others; bringing together complementary technologies and increasing the value delivered to our customers.” Mr. Selman, Nixon Peabody partner, added, “It’s a tremendous opportunity for our team to work closely with a company such as GigOptix that has a strong entrepreneurial spirit.
