Our Health Care Litigation Team provides quality litigation services to members of the regulated health care industry. The team comprises approximately a dozen attorneys who are highly knowledgeable and practiced in litigating a wide range of health care issues at the local, state, and national levels. Our clients reflect a broad spectrum of institutions, associations, organizations, companies, and individual practitioners. Among them are: hospitals and hospital associations, clinics, nursing homes, insurers, managed care organizations, physicians, home care providers, fiscal intermediaries, and pharmaceutical firms.

We serve clients who are involved in litigating matters related to many different aspects of health care. These include: medical staff issues, privacy, qui tam claims, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, managed care contracts, Certificates of Need, and graduate medical education programs. We also litigate antitrust matters, as well as the enforcement or defense of restrictive covenants. We are knowledgeable, as well, regarding HIPAA regulations, and often work closely with the firm’s HIPAA practice team. Our services also include commercial, tort, and construction litigation for health care institutions.

As part of a national firm with a highly integrated organizational structure, we often work in tandem with other Nixon Peabody teams to provide clients with a comprehensive range services. When appropriate, we can readily draw on the knowledge and skills of attorneys with in-depth experience in such areas as corporate, employment, benefits, and insurance law.
