About The Program

Our summer associate program lays the foundation for your career at Nixon Peabody. The program is intended to introduce you to as many opportunities as possible. We believe the more you learn over the summer, the better career choices you will make. You will be exposed to a range of practice areas and take part in billable client work and pro bono projects.
In addition to exploring the practice of law, we also encourage our summer associates to get to know Nixon Peabody attorneys and the cities in which we work. We provide many options for socializing, including attorney-hosted parties, concerts, evenings of dinner and theater, sports events, golf outings and firm softball games. The key word is options. We don’t over-organize your summer. We give you the flexibility to explore what interests you, in and outside of the office.

One Class, Coast-to-Coast

At Nixon Peabody, we operate as one firm. Our practice areas extend beyond geographic locations. Just as our attorneys collaborate across offices on client work, so summer associates in different offices participate as one class. Even as you attend the program through one of our eight offices, you will be part of a firmwide program. We bring the summer associates together weekly to learn about national pro bono efforts, hear about the direction of the firm and firm business and operations, and hear from practice group leaders.
