Los Angeles, CA. Rudy Salo, a public and project finance partner at Nixon Peabody LLP, has been appointed co-chair of the influential e4 Mobility Alliance, a Los Angeles Economic Development Corporation (LAEDC)–founded coalition of advanced transportation industry, research, education, government and policy leaders. The alliance is devoted to promoting Southern California as the leading destination for electric, autonomous and connected mobility.

Rudy will chair the alliance alongside Eric Mika, who leads government affairs for EVELOZCITY, a Los Angeles–based electric vehicle and mobility services company creating subscription-based mobility for urban needs.

The e4 Mobility Alliance aims to foster growth of the region’s globally competitive advanced transportation industry cluster, with the ultimate result of creating well-paying job opportunities and careers for our region’s residents.

“Los Angeles County is uniquely situated to be a testing ground and the global leader in mobility,” Rudy said. “As a co-chair of the e4 Mobility Alliance, I will use my passion for transportation and my unique knowledge of infrastructure finance and government affairs to facilitate the critical ongoing conversations between the private and public sectors.”

Rudy is based in Nixon Peabody’s Los Angeles office and a member of the firm’s Mobility and Autonomous Vehicles Initiative, a cross-practice team studying and advising clients on how changes in mobility will impact real estate, land use and infrastructure finance issues.

He works with lenders, borrowers and underwriters on a broad range of projects financed by tax-exempt and taxable debt, in addition to advising clients on public offerings and direct lending/privately placed debt serving as lender’s/bank, bond, disclosure, underwriter’s or borrower’s counsel. Rudy also has experience advising new mobility companies.

Rudy has significant experience in the funding of transportation projects, including the financing of the SR237 Express Lanes expansion in Silicon Valley, Project Neon in Las Vegas, the New Tappan Zee Bridge, the extension of the SR91 Express Lanes into Riverside County, DART’s Orange Line extension to Dallas/Fort Worth Airport, the financial restructuring and sale of SR125 in San Diego and the renovation of the City of Denver’s Union Station.
