Hispanic National Bar Association Names Nixon Peabody’s Ronaldo Rauseo-Ricupero to “Top Lawyers Under 40”

Boston, MA. Nixon Peabody is proud to announce that the Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA) will honor Ronaldo Rauseo-Ricupero with its prestigious “Top Lawyers Under 40” award.

HNBA selected Ronaldo as one of 28 attorneys across the United States to receive the award, which honors accomplished lawyers who have demonstrated professional excellence, integrity, leadership, commitment to the Hispanic community, and dedication to improving the legal profession.

Based in Nixon Peabody’s Boston office, Ronaldo is counsel in the Litigation Department and chair of the firm’s Electronic Discovery & Digital Evidence practice. He focuses on defending individuals or organizations facing investigations by government entities and related complex civil actions, including successfully arguing cases before trial courts, the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, and U.S. courts of appeals. He is also a member of the firm’s Antitrust team.

“Saying that Ronaldo is an excellent litigator only tells part of the story,” said Stephen LaRose, co-leader of Nixon Peabody’s Complex Commercial Disputes practice. “From his dedication to underserved populations in need of legal services to his commitment to supporting rising attorneys, Ronaldo exemplifies the qualities of this award.”

Named as Nixon Peabody’s inaugural firmwide “Pro Bono Attorney of the Year,” Ronaldo has advocated in major cases on behalf of those harmed by deportation and family separation policies, and he serves on the firm’s Pro Bono Committee.

“I’m humbled by this recognition and so grateful to be part of a firm that, through the longtime leadership of our Chief Diversity Officer Joe Ortego, has deeply supported HNBA’s mission and dedicated itself to increasing diversity and inclusion in the legal profession,” said Ronaldo. “When HNBA held its 40th Annual Conference here in Boston, it energized the local Latino bar, and the community has benefited greatly from HNBA’s work in this region.”

Ronaldo has served as a special assistant district attorney and special assistant attorney general and currently serves on the board of the ACLU of Massachusetts and the board of editors of the Boston Bar Journal. He received his J.D. from Boston College Law School and his B.A. cum laude from Harvard College.
