Boston, MA. The Deal, a leading publication and data provider for dealmaking professionals, has named Nixon Peabody as its 2020 Consumer, Retail, Food & Beverage Law Firm of the Year.
In addition, The Deal selected the Boston Beer/Dogfish Head transaction—which solidified the combined company’s leading position in the high end of the U.S. beer market—as its Consumer, Retail, Food & Beverage Deal of the Year. Nixon Peabody led the deal as legal counsel to Boston Beer.
Boston Corporate senior counsel Fred Grein, who has represented Boston Beer since its founding in 1984, led Nixon Peabody’s deal team. The team included partners Alycia Ziarno, Kelly Babson, Frank Emmons and associate Joe Flynn, along with several additional attorneys and staff.
Both honors are part of The Deal’s just-announced 2020 Middle Market Awards, which will be presented on September 25.
This recognition further establishes Nixon Peabody as a leading law firm in the consumer and food and beverage spaces. We help our clients create new products, disrupt their markets, and achieve success for their stakeholders.
