Boston, MA. U.S. News – Best Lawyers® “Best Law Firms” has named Nixon Peabody as “Law Firm of the Year” in the area of Public Finance Law for 2021.

Thus far in 2020, Nixon Peabody’s Project Finance and Public Finance practice has worked with clients across the country—including many of the nation’s largest issuers and financial institutions—as bond, disclosure, underwriters’, special tax, borrower, and bank counsel. The practice advises clients on financing their most important capital projects and refinancing or restructuring other projects to assist borrowers in meeting their financial needs under the stress created by the pandemic. These transactions have kept public transportation running, addressed the homelessness crisis, helped to fund health care facilities, schools, cultural institutions, environmental, and other infrastructure projects, and assisted in the creation of the Municipal Liquidity Facility to assist municipalities in financing their liquidity needs.
