Date: January 14, 2015

Time: 12:30–1:30 p.m. Eastern, 9:30–10:30 a.m. Pacific

Location: Online webinar (access instructions e-mailed upon registration)

Addressing sexual harassment and violence on our nation’s campuses continues to be a priority of our country’s elected leadership, campus administration and law enforcement and public safety professionals—on and off campus.

It is crucial for colleges and universities to understand their obligations under the law related to the proper response to and reporting of allegations and incidents that come within the evolving requirements of Title IX, the Clery Act and the Campus SaVE Act.

Please join us on January 14 for an informative webinar to discuss best practices for responding to and reporting incidents of sexual harassment and violence, compliance with regulations under Title IX and real-world examples from our experience working with higher education institutions throughout the U.S. We’ll address the following questions surrounding response and reporting requirements of reported sexual misconduct on campus:

  • What interim steps should colleges and universities take in response to alleged misconduct, and pending their investigation?
  • What are the college’s and university’s obligations for responding to and reporting complaints?
  • What are the obligations of various campus personnel who interact with the complaining and accused students?
  • What does local law enforcement expect and require from colleges and universities when incidents occur?

Who should attend?
Higher education professionals, law enforcement personnel, victim service providers, and any other personnel responsible for and interested in response and reporting of campus security issues.
