ASNC and Nixon Peabody are pleased to host Wendy Cutler and Robert Kapp for a corporate briefing to examine varying trade and investment regimes in the Asia-Pacific, such as the Trans-Pacific Partnership and Regional Comprehensive Economic Policy, China’s Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank and its “One Belt, One Road” policy.
Wendy Cutler joined the Asia Society Policy Institute (ASPI) as vice president and managing director of ASPI’s Washington, DC, office in November 2015. She most recently served as the acting deputy of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR). Her nearly three-decade tenure focused on strengthening U.S. trade ties with Asian countries.
Robert Kapp is the former president of the U.S-China Business Council. He maintains a consultancy in Port Townsend, Washington, and is a senior advisor to the China Program of the Carter Center in Atlanta. He has served as editor of the Journal of Asian Studies, and has published research on Republican-era China.
