On May 11, 2016, President Obama signed the Defend Trade Secrets Act (DTSA) into law, effective immediately. In addition to federalizing trade secret law, providing for ex parte seizure orders and limiting injunctive relief in new ways, the DTSA requires employers to include notice of whistleblower immunity in nondisclosure and similar employment agreements—but leaves the door open to several creative approaches for compliance.
Please join us on June 23 for an interactive and informative webinar in which we will provide an overview of the new law before focusing on employers’ options for complying with the immunity notice requirements—including the option of noncompliance—and discuss the risks, benefits, and likely effectiveness of the various approaches and what employers need to know before diving in.
This course is eligible for 1.0 CLE credits (general). See details here.
