Nixon Peabody is participating as a speaker at the NYSBA Public Utility Committee CLE Program. The program brings together New York state public and private attorneys to learn about the critical issues that affect a public utility practice. Gil C. Quiniones, President and Chief Executive Officer, New York Power Authority, will deliver the keynote address.
Nixon Peabody’s Troy Lieberman and Leah Threatte Bojnowski will discuss the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and its ramifications for utilities making robocalls to customer landlines and wireless phones. This will include a new order issued by the Federal Communications Commission in August related to utility emergency calls.
