  • New Hire forms, including tax forms, Form I9 compliance and employment-related insurance programs
  • Pre-hire and interview risks and best practices, including meeting legal requirements for background checks, reducing the risk of discrimination claims and avoiding disputes with the applicant’s prior employers
  • Forming and documenting employment relationships, including employment-at-will, offer letters, employment contracts and restrictive covenants
  • Wage and hour issues, including payroll, minimum wage and overtime, the use of “interns” and the risks of misclassification of workers
  • Workplace policies, including compliance with applicable employee-notification and leave laws, depending on the size of your business
