Incidents of sexual misconduct pose serious issues for colleges and universities, particularly with the increase of lawsuits filed by complainants and respondents. With the new presidential administration, uncertainties exist about the future of the Office for Civil Rights’ “Dear Colleague” letter and other guidance documents. In addition, various federal courts have interpreted the application of Title IX to sexual misconduct cases in different ways leaving open the question of how courts will treat Title IX claims. Higher education institutions are not alone in this regard, similar campus safety challenges arise at private secondary schools in their implementation of policies and response to incidents.

Please join us on Wednesday, May 3, for a breakfast roundtable to discuss best practices for: responding to and reporting sexual misconduct incidents, complying with applicable laws, preparing defenses in litigation, and promoting and implementing campus safety practices.
