In the wake of the #MeToo movement, recently enacted legislation will soon require all New York employers to establish an anti-sexual harassment policy and provide anti-sexual harassment training to their employees. Since the law requires that the mandatory policy and training materials satisfy certain criteria, all employers will need to review and update their policies and training materials to ensure compliance with this law.

In addition, a new law requires employers working in New York City to provide anti-sexual harassment training to such employees. Both the statewide and city laws expand and enhance anti-sexual harassment laws in various other ways, some of which are already in effect.

Please join us for an interactive presentation in our New York City office on Wednesday, September 12, or our Long Island office on Thursday, September 13, to discuss this new legislation and their impact on employers.

Topics for discussion will include:

  • An in-depth description of the requirements of the New York State and New York City laws
  • The current status of any rules, regulations, or guidance regarding these laws
  • Navigating the differences between the New York State and New York City laws
  • The steps that employers should take now, before the policy, training, and other requirements go into effect
  • Training options and compliance strategies
