Please join us on September 26 as we celebrate Rim Power’s three-year anniversary and introduce Rim Power’s first female superhero Wheelchair Girl.
Rim Power’s superheroes are all based on real-life stories of people with disabilities from around the world. We looked at three different countries to find the human character for our new book, Wheelchair Girl—Rim Power’s first female superhero. Aknur Akjarkenova of Kazakhstan is a 12-year-old dancing champion who believes that education is a fundamental human right and therefore every girl, especially those in wheelchairs, should receive an education.
Join us in making sure wheelchair users, who have grown up being told they can’t accomplish anything, have the opportunity to achieve their dreams. Your support to Rim Power will not only bring to life our first female superhero, but also inspire millions of other young women around the world who will read this book.
The first comic book issue will be available at the end of 2019 at rimpower.org.
