We look forward to discussing her journey as an Iranian immigrant, her work as the vice president of the San Francisco Commission on the Status of Women, her path to building her esteemed psychology practice, and her service on the boards of several high-impact nonprofit organizations. About Dr. Shokooh Miry
Dr. Shokooh Miry is a psychologist in practice in California and serves as the vice president of the San Francisco Commission on the Status of Women, where she oversees vital work in advancing women’s human rights. She holds degrees from UC Berkeley and Stanford University, and was honored to complete her training at the Stanford Hospital Department of Psychiatry and at Duke University Hospital. Following these academic achievements, she completed a fellowship in medical psychology at Duke University Medical Center and a post-doctoral fellowship at Stanford Hospital. Dr. Miry specializes in evidence-based treatment, and has extensive research and clinical experience working with mood, anxiety, trauma, and eating disturbances, as well as women’s mental health. In addition to her service on the San Francisco Commission on the Status of Women and her work as an esteemed psychologist, Dr. Miry serves on the boards of several high-impact nonprofit organizations.
