Chicago-based restaurant group taps Nixon Peabody in new venture

Chicago, IL – Gibsons Restaurant Group will open a new downtown Chicago restaurant in 2017. Located in the 52-floor River Point Building, the planned restaurant will occupy more than 10,000 square feet throughout multiple levels, in addition to an outdoor terrace. The restaurant will offer diners dramatic views of the Chicago River.

Gibsons opened the original Gibsons Bar and Steakhouse in 1989 and added additional locations in Rosemont and Oak Brook. The restaurant group also owns and operates Hugo's Frog Bar & Fish House, Quartino Ristorante, and LuxbaR.

Nixon Peabody advised Gibsons. The legal team was led by Chicago partners Kris Curran and Kristopher Stark.
