Nixon Peabody expands its IP practice in Los Angeles

Los Angeles, CA. As our clients’ needs evolve in the life sciences, digital health and consumer products industries, we’re excited to announce the arrival of TaeSoo Sean Kim. Sean joins our Intellectual Property Counseling & Transactions practice in Los Angeles as an associate.

Sean practices in all aspects of intellectual property procurement, counseling and transactions, with a focus on technology and health care clients. He works directly with inventors and business managers to strategically develop and commercialize intellectual property portfolios, and manages domestic and international trademark portfolios for clients.

A trusted advisor to emerging growth companies, Sean also advises clients in business formation and commercial transactions, including raising capital, mergers and acquisitions, and cross-border transactions. Sean works with technology companies on a variety of intellectual property transactions, ranging from software licensing and development agreements to supply, distribution and IP licensing agreements.

A native Korean speaker and writer, Sean joins Nixon Peabody from McGuireWoods’ New York office. He graduated from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and earned his master of public health from Columbia University. Sean earned his bachelor’s degree from Stony Brook University where he graduated with departmental honors in chemistry.
