Rochester, NY—Nixon Peabody LLP is pleased to announce Jared C. Lusk has been named Managing Partner of the firm’s Rochester, NY, office. A member of Nixon Peabody’s Rochester office for more than a decade, Jared is very involved in the local community where he works and lives.

“Jared is a natural and proven leader with a strong commitment to providing exceptional service to our clients and the community at large,” said Andrew I. Glincher, Nixon Peabody CEO and Managing Partner. “We are excited to have Jared lead our talented Rochester team.”

“I look forward to building on Nixon Peabody’s strong roots in Rochester, growing our office and helping our attorneys and staff to continue as leaders in the law and in the Rochester community,” added Jared.

Jared’s practice focuses on real estate development and municipal law, including planning and zoning. He helps clients with all types of real estate transactions and represents a wide variety of landowners, developers, municipalities, retailers, public utilities and wind and other energy producers throughout New York State. Jared succeeds Carolyn Nussbaum, who will continue to focus on her busy commercial litigation practice. “I’m honored to take on the role of Office Managing Partner and look forward to continuing Carolyn’s incredible leadership and dedication to our colleagues and the community,” said Jared.

Beyond his legal practice, Jared currently serves on the Pittsford Town Council, currently serving as Deputy Town Supervisor and as pro bono Legal Counsel for Camp Good Days and Special Times, Inc. He is a 27-year member of the Pittsford Volunteer Fire Department, where he previously served as Fire Chief.
