Los Angeles, CA. Nixon Peabody’s Los Angeles office was awarded a certificate of recognition from the mayor’s office, saluting the firm for its contributions to the start-up ecosystem in downtown Los Angeles and its commitment and support to economic and community development through its work with Grid110, an economic development organization that supports local, early-stage start-ups.

Grid110 aims to mobilize the start-up ecosystem in downtown Los Angeles, in partnership with the office of Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, by assisting start-ups during the most critical stage of their growth cycle. The organization connects start-ups with office space, mentors and resources. Nixon Peabody has been pro bono counsel to Grid110 since its inception and helped form the organization and secure its tax-exempt status. The firm also provides periodic legal counsel to Grid110, while mentoring and sometimes representing the companies and organizations that have participated in its services.
