Chicago, IL. Nixon Peabody LLP advised Children’s Hospital Colorado and a group of independent physicians to form the Pediatric Care Network, Colorado’s largest clinically integrated network solely for children. The Pediatric Care Network is focused on providing high-quality health care at a reduced cost.

The network is made up of 1,400 providers, including 275 primary care providers and 1,175 specialty care providers. This collaborative effort provides health care standards and data analytics so all of the different entities (hospitals, community providers and specialists) can be mutually accountable—to each other and to the patients and families they serve.

Nixon Peabody’s deal team, led by Health Care practice attorney April Schweitzer and partner Steve Banghart, worked through a number of unique structuring and contracting matters together with both management and physicians in the network’s steering committee to create policies that govern this clinical integration effort.
