San Francisco, CA. Nixon Peabody LLP represented Lyon & Swan Holdings, LLC, in the acquisition of a San Francisco building known as 124-140 Columbus Avenue.

The building, located in the historic Jackson Square area and once used as a performing arts venue where musician Janis Joplin purportedly began her career, contains ground floor commercial space that will be developed into a winery tasting room with estate-grown food pairings. Lyon & Swan Holdings, LLC, is affiliated with Eco Terreno Wines of Sonoma, California.

The real estate transaction was handled by Nixon Peabody partner Paul Schrier with assistance from associate Ian O’Banion. Partner Tom Gaynor, associate Kyle Uhlman, and paralegal Mark Summerhays represented the client in connection with entity formation and other corporate matters, while partner Bruce Copeland advised regarding transfer of a liquor license.
