Boston, MA. Nixon Peabody is pleased to announce the promotion of four attorneys to counsel: Sarah Abel, Ronaldo Rauseo-Ricupero, Amy Reichhart, and Scott Shepardson.

“These forward thinking attorneys have proven themselves to be integral parts of our team and are consistently looking at ways to better serve our clients now and in the future,” said Andrew Glincher, CEO and Managing Partner. “We are delighted to recognize the contributions Sarah, Ronaldo, Amy and Scott have brought to both our firm and our clients.”

Sarah Abel (Global Finance, San Francisco) represents companies, commercial banks and other financial institutions in commercial lending and asset-based lending transactions. Sarah also assists small businesses and large public companies with general corporate matters, including company formation, corporate governance and public and private debt and equity offerings.

Ronaldo Rauseo-Ricupero (Commercial Litigation, Boston) defends businesses and executives in the energy, defense, contracting and higher education industries facing federal or state investigations and related civil or criminal litigation under the False Claims Act, Anti-Kickback Statute, environmental laws or consumer protection statutes. In addition to serving as deputy chair of the firm’s e-Discovery practice, Ronaldo’s most recent pro bono work involved obtaining a federal court injunction to halt the deportation of 70 Indonesian nationals.

Amy Reichhart (Energy and Environmental, Rochester) represents clients in environmental regulatory and enforcement matters, site investigation and remediation, brownfields redevelopment, real estate tax appeals and all phases of litigation. She also handles administrative matters before state agencies as well as litigation and tax challenges in both state and federal courts. She currently sits on the Board of the Genesee Finger Lakes Chapter of the Air and Waste Management Association, serving as the Membership Chair, and participates on the Business Operations Committee of the Seneca Park Zoo.

Scott Shepardson (Commercial Litigation, San Francisco) works on consumer warranty cases and product liability litigation. He also negotiates and drafts commercial leases and handles real estate litigation matters. Scott has extensive jury trial experience representing automobile manufacturers in Song-Beverly cases and previously represented defendants in products liability cases including vehicle components, refractory products, paper mills and refineries.
