Nixon Peabody CWL secures summary judgment for HK$540m outstanding loan against major infrastructure company

Hong Kong. Nixon Peabody CWL secured summary judgment for an outstanding loan of HK$540 million (approximately $69 million USD) against China City Construction (International) Company Limited, the subsidiary of a large-scale infrastructure company in the People’s Republic of China.

Nixon Peabody CWL represented the lender, Amuse Peace Limited. The loan was initially agreed to be HK$450 million, but was increased by HK$90 million. Summary judgment was entered in favor of Amuse Peace, for the full sum of the loan in the amount of HK$540 million, with interest together with the costs of the action. The loan was due to be repaid in 2016.
