Los Angeles, CA. Nixon Peabody represented Urban Research Park, LLC, in securing tax credit financing that will be used, together with other financing sources, to construct and develop a four-story, 100,000-square-foot addition at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago, Illinois.
The $50M innovation and research park will be a mixed-use facility providing office, education/training, technology, and incubator space for the university and businesses and organizations that specialize in biomedical and life science research. It is on track to open August 2019.
Its creation will result in new employment and economic opportunities for surrounding communities, including Waukegan and North Chicago.
