Los Angeles, CA. Nixon Peabody represented Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in the $51.1M sale of Stanson Health to Premier Inc., a partnership aimed at providing real-time, patient-specific best practices at the point of care.

Founded in 2013 by Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and Dr. Scott Weingarten, Stanson is a software-as-a-service–based provider of clinical decision support (CDS) tools that alert health care providers when a patient matches a specific profile and then offer specific recommendations relevant to care. Stanson solutions are currently in use in more than 300 hospitals and support approximately 100,000 health care providers.

Premier is a leading health care improvement company, bringing together an alliance of approximately 4,000 U.S. hospitals and health systems and approximately 165,000 other providers and organizations.
