Brian Brown is a partner in the firm’s M&A and Corporate Transactions group and a member of our Life Sciences Industry team. Working predominantly with domestic and international clients in the life sciences and health care space, Brian’s corporate practice is focused on mergers, acquisitions, corporate governance issues, negotiating commercial contracts and agreements and providing tax-related advice.
My practice covers a wide range of corporate issues, from counseling start-ups on business formation, raising capital and related tax advice, to representing industry leaders on corporate reorganizations, divestitures and complex, large-scale mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures. I am particularly knowledgeable in the health care and life sciences sectors and have a thorough understanding of the issues that arise in transactions related to such matters.
From 1982–1987, I served in the United States Air Force as a Judge Advocate General Officer.
I see health care and privacy taking a more important role in transactional work as cross-border legal work takes center stage.
