Mary Burke is a trademark paralegal.
I am responsible for assisting with all areas of domestic and international trademark prosecution. This includes analysis of incoming trademark mail, calculating critical deadlines and entering the results in the firm’s trademark database. I also prepare filings for state, U.S. and foreign trademark renewals. My additional responsibilities include monitoring the publication of trademarks, coordinating prosecution activities of foreign associates and conducting preliminary trademark searches. I handle the maintenance of client extranets and the docket for all trademark prosecution and post-registration matters.
In today’s global economy it will be more important than ever for companies to understand the nuances and differences in laws from one jurisdiction to another to suitably maintain and protect their trademarks. We’re developing strategies for clients to proactively identify and mitigate risk in this area.
