Benjamin Byun is an associate in Nixon Peabody’s Private Clients group. Benjamin focuses his practice on estate planning, estate and trust administration, guardianships, and conservatorships.
I work with individuals and families to design estate plans that will reduce transfer taxes and efficiently carry out their testamentary intentions. I also advise personal representatives, trustees and other fiduciaries in the administration and settling of complex trusts and estates. I guide fiduciaries through a variety of issues including contested estates, preparation of estate and gift tax returns, and post-mortem estate planning strategies.
The largest inter-generational transfer of wealth in history will take place over the next two decades. I see an increased need to help clients navigate changing tax laws before and during this transfer of wealth. In addition, I see an opportunity for clients to create a plan that will allow for transferred wealth to remain preserved and protected for the benefit of their loved ones for years to come.
