Katherine Chan is a consultant at Nixon Peabody CWL in Hong Kong. Katherine has a wide range of experience in corporate finance, private equity and M&A transactions.
I practice in the areas of general corporate, inbound and outbound investments and commercial transactions. I regularly advise clients on structuring and documenting various cross-border acquisitions, investment and divestment activities. I frequently assist clients on the formation of special purpose vehicles, investment funds and other corporate compliance matters. I also have significant experience in listing of companies or subsidiaries on the Main or GEM Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Before joining Nixon Peabody CWL, I worked for another large US based international law firm as a corporate team lawyer. I am fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, English and Japanese.
China’s more open border and freedom of movement have not only resulted in rapid industrialization but also in free flowing of ideas and business models. Growth in agriculture and heavy industries has led to genuine innovation in the marketplace where government and private sectors compete. As ideas and people become more sophisticated and international in outlook, we will be facilitating new and exciting transactions under this paradigm and will continue to witness accelerated development across all industries.
