Scott Cristman is a tax lawyer with 40 years of experience in federal, state and local taxation. He has been involved in tax planning, tax structuring and tax dispute resolution for real estate investment trusts, partnerships, corporations and individuals.
I focus on business and tax issues for a wide variety of clients, including real estate investment trusts, partnerships, corporations and high net worth individuals and families. I have handled the tax aspects of large corporate mergers and acquisitions, the formation of several real estate investment trusts and the formation of many partnerships and joint ventures. Additionally, I work with clients on both federal and state tax litigation matters.
As all governments struggle for additional tax dollars, I see a need to assist businesses and individuals with a variety of tax and related issues. Tax planning and structuring, such as the formation and operation of REITS, will be needed in the future. Individuals and their families are going to need experienced counsel to guide them through the transition of business and wealth to the next generation and beyond.
