Jared Densen focuses his practice on trademark and copyright matters involving the entertainment and fashion industries.
Success in the entertainment and fashion industry requires clients to effectively create, use, and protect content. I work with clients and our team to maximize business opportunities in this dynamic sector, including advising clients on business strategy, revenue generation, intellectual property selection, clearance, and prosecution.
My work also includes drafting and negotiating music distribution deals, producer agreements, foreign partnership agreements between U.S.-based clients and foreign companies, and other commercial contracts and agreements for clients looking to sell, distribute, and/or license their content and/or technology across the entertainment spectrum, including finding new ways to incorporate advances such as cryptocurrency or NFTs (non-fungible tokens). I also help clients monetize their content by licensing their products or intellectual property to major corporations.
When business relationships are disrupted or my client’s interests are threatened, I work to protect their rights and resolve disputes expeditiously. I handle copyright, idea theft, trademark, and other litigation matters. I also represent business clients with their disputes, such as contractual issues, business divorces, and employment matters, appearing in state and federal courts, and handle mediations.
I am following the daily developments in the cryptocurrency and NFT spaces, both as investment and new business opportunities for my clients.
I am taking note of those developing and offering NFTs, specifically in the entertainment space, in order to best identify opportunities for my clients. I am also strategizing how best to utilize my clients’ talents and intellectual property to increase their portfolio and fan engagement, through both NFT and crypto. Because fan engagement is at an all-time high and growing, clients who can find unique and effective ways to create and increase audience engagement will be the ones who find major success in this space.
