Roland is counsel in the Banking & Finance practice group. He represents lenders, debt investors, borrowers, lessors and lessees in lending, equipment leasing and other commercial and structured finance transactions. Roland previously managed the firm’s London office.
I focus on helping businesses and finance parties accomplish their goals in finance transactions, often with some cross border aspect involved. These transactions run the gamut from secured and unsecured loan transactions, both syndicated and bilateral, to asset-based transactions involving power generating, manufacturing and other facilities to aircraft, telecom and rolling stock assets.
I also regularly counsel clients in the U.S. and Europe regarding restructurings and the sale and purchase of loans and other claims under LSTA, LMA and other documentation, and I’ve spoken at conferences in the U.S. and Europe on asset finance and restructuring arrangements.
I have represented bank loan funds managed by a large mutual fund complex in hundreds of investments each year in tranches of large syndicated non-investment grade loan transactions.
I see the combination of the continuing favorable interest rate environment and the gradual expansion of appetite to lend to borrowers as trends that will continue over the coming months.
