Kelly Gibbs is a paralegal in the Complex Commercial Disputes group, supporting attorneys in all phases of the litigation process. She provides assistance on cases involving commercial disputes for banking, financial services and corporate clients.
I handle various projects including factual investigations, drafting various pleadings and discovery documents, reviewing briefs and preparing files for depositions as well as court hearings, arbitration and trial and managing complex litigation files in both federal and state court matters.
Most recently, I’ve assisted with the management of pre-litigation lemon law claims for our San Francisco office. Additionally, as a licensed registered nurse, I am able to utilize my health care experience to perform numerous medical record reviews and analyses for litigation, estate and health care system matters.
I have also assisted in pro bono matters for veterans’ benefits.
I anticipate more involvement from the courts in the handling of eDiscovery by attorneys and their clients. In addition, while business transactions are global, the use of arbitration for dispute resolution, especially for international disputes, will increase.
