Erin Holyoke

Erin Holyoke is an associate in Nixon Peabody’s Labor and Employment practice group. She represents employers in a wide variety of labor and employment matters.

What do you focus on?

Today I focus my practice on three main areas.

Litigation of Employment Disputes

I’ve represented employers in the litigation of employment disputes in federal and state court arising out of discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, FLSA, and state wage and hour claims, as well as workplace safety (OSHA).

Matters before the NLRB

I also advise employers on union avoidance related issues and defend employers against unfair labor practice charges and other disputes before the National Labor Relations Board.

Counseling Employers

Much of my work involves counseling employers on a broad range of employment related matters, including employee handbooks, wage and hour law and discipline and discharge issues.

What do you see on the horizon?

I’ve been following the changing landscape regarding employees expanding civil liberties and rights, which I believe will greatly impact employers in the years ahead.
