I focus on transactional matters for health care providers, including mergers and acquisitions of health care entities, joint ventures and partnerships, employment agreements, managed care contracting, and the formation of health care practice groups.
I also advise clients on a variety of regulatory matters in the health care industry, including the Physician Self-Referral Law (Stark law), the Anti-Kickback Statute (AKS), the Brown Act, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), entity formation, wage and hour, and government health care programs.
With emerging technology, I believe that artificial intelligence will transform our methods for treatments and preventive care. There will be digital transformations in various health care platforms and models and increased regulations for security and privacy rights. Even though these changes will present new legal complexities, my hope for the health care industry is that these advancements will make the health care industry more connected on a universal level.
