Maritza Martin is an associate in Nixon Peabody’s Labor and Employment practice group and a member of the firm’s Occupational Safety & Health (OSHA) practice. She represents private and public companies in a variety of litigation matters. During law school, Maritza worked as a legal intern for the Government team at the San Francisco City Attorney’s Office.
I represent businesses from a diverse range of industries in a variety of litigation matters in both state and federal court and before administrative agencies. I help ensure cases run smoothly by assisting in all phases of litigation, including drafting complaints, conducting discovery and preparing for trial.
I see the ever-growing use of electronic communication continue to pose ethical problems for the legal profession. Lawyers and clients alike will have to find ways to see each other as human and not just as words behind a screen.
