Monica Mehta is a paralegal in the Patents practice group. She has over 20 years of experience and manages and maintains client patent portfolios relating to foreign prosecution matters.
I support the attorneys and patent agents with all aspects of foreign prosecution. This includes preparing and processing new applications filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office and international applications filed worldwide, including under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT). I work closely with the attorneys and agents to ensure that critical patent deadlines are met. I also keep our clients apprised with the status of their patent portfolios.
I’ve been following World Intellectual Property Organization’s pilot online service, e-PCT, geared towards streamlining the process of filing international patent applications. I foresee that this will simplify and improve the process of filing and monitoring my clients’ international PCT applications.
