My practice focuses on representing employers in disputes in state and federal court, including wage and hour, discrimination, sexual harassment, and retaliation claims.
I have extensive litigation experience defending against individual, class, and collective actions regarding wage and hour claims under the Fair Labor Standards Act and New York labor law, especially for clients in the hospitality industry.
I also work with clients across a diverse group of industries regarding employment decisions and compliance with applicable regulations. My previous experience counseling employees in employment lawsuits provides me with a unique perspective to effectively represent employers.
I’ve been following developments in regulations as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and the Biden administration’s agenda. As it relates to large and small businesses in New York State and New York City, I anticipate further regulations aimed at providing additional protections for employees in the workplace for the foreseeable future. With proper planning, employers may significantly reduce their exposure to potential litigation for claims of discrimination and/or wage and hour violations.
