Rebecca Menke is an attorney in the Intellectual Property Counseling & Transactions group, focusing her practice on trademark and copyright law. She counsels clients on building and protecting their brands and creative works and on maximizing their value.
The majority of my practice focuses on intellectual property, specifically trademarks, copyrights and licensing. I also have experience working with clients in other practice areas, including commercial, advertising, employment, immigration, real estate and corporate law. I have the advantage of years of experience working as in-house counsel, which has given me an understanding of business needs and challenges. I bring this perspective to each new client relationship.
I work with clients on the entire lifecycle of their intellectual property, from selection and clearance, to prosecution, through protection and enforcement. I provide counseling on strategy and risk management.
I’m well-versed in drafting, reviewing and negotiating license agreements and other contracts with U.S. and international companies. These have included contracts with manufacturers, suppliers, designers, advertising agencies and tech companies.
As businesses shift and expand more of their consumer interactions online, it will become increasingly important for companies to consider the worldwide landscape in planning their trademark and branding strategies.
